Laura Blanche McCalvy was born in Iowa on Sept. 13, 1868. By 1902 McCalvy had moved to San Francisco. After the earthquake in 1906, she moved across to Oakland and was active there until
1938. She died in Santa Clara, CA on Dec. 14, 1951.
