1970's Classic 14K Men's Ring with Jadeite

Heavy (14.4 gm) 14K yellow classic design gold ring with oval cabochon cut jadeite jade (16 mm x 12 mm). Ring Size 9.25.
This big, handsome 1970s ring has substantial gold and a high bezel which rises from the wide front of the ring to hold an oval cabochon of green natural, untreated jadeite jade.
The top of the stone is very slightly domed. The jade color is dark green with gray/green mottling. When viewed through the open back, it is somewhat translucent. There are no hallmarks inside the band, but it has been tested to be 14k. The jade measures 16mm x 12mm, or around 5 1/2 carats. The top of the ring is 3/4" (19mm) knuckle to knuckle and rises 6mm above the finger; the back of the band is 6 mm wide. Weight is 14.4 grams. It is size 10 and could be re-sized. Because the band is wide, it might best fit a size 9 1/2 - 9 3/4 finger. Condition is excellent.
